Information for Mac Users
Because a very small percentage of computer users here at SFR choose
to use Macs, SFRIT is not able to expend resources to support them at
the same level as Windows PCs. However we do make every reasonable effort
to support users who choose to use Macs. Mac users may be asked to provide
funding to offset the expense of resolving Mac specific problems.
Minimum Requirements
SFRIT supports Macs meeting the following criteria:
- It is owned by the School of Forest Resources (limited
support is extended to privately owned computers of faculty, staff,
students and School-affiliated organizations and individuals on a best
effort and time available basis)
- Its Operating System is Mac OS 10.2, 10.3 or 10.4
- Dave 5 or 6 is installed if access to SFRIT network resources is desired
